Language is our primary source of communication. It's a method through which we share our ideas and thoughts with others. Some people even say that language is what separates us from animals as humans. There are thousands of languages in this world. Countries have their own national languages in addition to a variety of local languages spoken and understood by their people in different regions.

English is the language of science, of aviation, computers, diplomacy, and tourism. Knowing English increases your chances of getting a good job in a multinational company within your home country or for finding work abroad. It’s also the language of international communication, the media and the internet, so learning English is important for socializing and entertainment as well as work. Although learning English can be challenging and time-consuming, one cannot turn a Nelson’s eye to it.

In a country like India where English is looked at as a secondary (Foreign) language, it becomes more challenging for one to build on vocabulary. Traditional teaching methods have been ignorant towards building vocabulary while pivoting around grammatical nuances. According to linguist David Wilkins "Without grammar little can be conveyed, without vocabulary nothing can be conveyed.” It’s very difficult to learn vocabulary through external sources and unguided methods. Vocabulary is a set of words within a language that are familiar to a particular person. Every person’s particular vocabulary is unique and often not given much thought or attention as it tends to develop with age and grow and evolve over time. Different age groups have different comprehension and application method. We have all, at some part of our lives made ourselves look slightly foolish by having a stab at a new word that we have only ever read and getting the pronunciation completely wrong. These occasions, although quite unbearable at the time, are perfect examples of a gap between your reading and speaking vocabulary.

The results of our survey across India reflected a need for an authoritative organization to bridge this gap and to break the traditional method and invent a creative substitute. This led to the emergence of SpellQuest. SpellQuest is an English Vocabulary Development Programme. Our unique and innovative programme helps students to learn vocabulary through proper direction and step by step approach.

SpellQuest comes with a self-explanatory programme which aims to boost the confidence in students. If you are an aspiring writer, orator or preparing for competitive exams like CAT, CMAT, TOEFL, GRE, GMAT, etc. our programme will help you crack the exams better and thus achieve your goals. To quote Winston Churchill, “A vocabulary of truth and simplicity will be service throughout your life.” The programme has been designed by experts and language professionals, keeping in mind the grasping capacity and brain functioning of students belonging to different age group. Our creative approach to teaching makes this programme unique and increases a child’s inclination towards learning. We help our fellow students in building and strengthening their vocabulary. Our specially curated books for each level aims to help students acquire fluency and style in speaking and writing. In addition to a child’s interests, we have our App based platform to help them effectively use the vocabulary daily. It is based on contest and rewards system. This encourages them to use the app and makes the process of learning rather fun. A weekly/ monthly quiz contest is held on the app. It gives the students an opportunity to analyze their performance and prepare better for the examination.

The structure of our programme is divided into three levels viz. Intra-school level, State level and National level and it takes place throughout the academic year along with the conventional schooling. The students from Class I to Class X are eligible to participate in this competition. The enrolment procedure is simple and easy. The participating school will guide their students throughout and provide the necessary assistance. Students not belonging to participating schools can also enroll by contacting us directly. At the end of every academic year, an award ceremony is organized to praise the winners and uplift their morale, encouraging them for newer goals. Who We Are

With the desire to be a contributing factor in the development of our education system and progress of the children, Director and Founder Mr. Shiamak Thakur started this company in the year 2015. SpellQuest is an English Vocabulary Enhancing Programme that focuses on applying a tactical and preparatory method in molding a strong base of the English language. It aims to improve the vocabulary and communication skills in a short span of time and so is conducted in the form of a competition at three levels viz. Intra-school level, State level and National level. It is directed to imbibe the seasoning skills of fluency, pronunciation, cohesion and elements of reasoning in the children.
